introducing "animus curiae"

I am neither a lawyer nor a law student, but I have long been enthralled by various topics in (constitutional) law, the role and power of the courts, politics, and democracy. These passions are significant motivators towards my research interests in computational social choice theory and mathematical democracy. I enjoy procrastinating my more technical responsibilities by reading about such topics and trying to answer questions that arise. Occasionally, I decide to write down various thoughts and arguments I have, as a hobby.
